The rise and fall of the Grace O’Malley mural
The original mural was created by artist KinMx on the side of a prominent building on Aungier Street, Dublin. Whilst the mural was approved by the land owner, the 60x40’ art piece existed for only three weeks, until it was ordered to be removed by the local authorities. Clearly the team were devastated, but remained resolute in their mission to immortalise the infamous pirate queen. Focused turned to recreating the mural across 501 bottles, each with a unique identity and numbered one through 501.
The mural lives on

Grace O’Malley is now one of the established names in Irish whiskey, one of the most awarded spirits of recent years and finds friends in over 23 countries.
About the whiskey
The bottles are filled with Grace O’Malley thirteen year-old single grain Irish whiskey, having been matured in first fill American bourbon casks and then transferred into Amarone Della Valpolicella barrels and refined for a period of six months.
The characteristically intense dark red fruit flavour of the Amarone imparts a delightful fruity richness to an already delectable whiskey.
The cask was hand-selected by Grace O’Malley’s Master Blender Paul Caris, during his visits to the stunning Veneto region, which sits in the foothills of The Alps.
